Sanofi to instal new vaccine plant in Cuautitlan

Sanofi Pasteur Mexico announced construction of a vaccine plant in Cuautitlan Izcalli, State of Mexico with investment of roughly US$103 million.  The general director of Sanofi Pasteur Mexico, Fernando Sampaio, informed during the presentation of this investment project that this new factory is going to bring about over 170 direct jobs plus another 600 indirect jobs, in addition to "increasing the Country's potential as a producer and exporter of vaccines to the rest of Latin America." Currently, Sanofi Pasteur supplies each year approximately 30 million doses of seasonal influenza vaccines to the public health system in Mexico.
