The Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) expects to reach the goal of doubling the cargo capacity of Mexican ports by the end of this presidential term, with the operation of 520 million tons, as well as the advance in the construction of the ports at Veracruz and Tuxpan. The SCT will complete 52 highways, 80 federal roads, 50 distributors, 6 main roads of 980 kilometers between 2017 and 2018 through the Public-Private Association (APPs), with investment valued at US$1.4 billion. The train lines Mexico-Toluca (high speed), and the Guadalajara Electric Train will begin operations, with capital investment worth over US$2.8 billion. Besides, the operative phase of the New Mexico City Airport will be completed, with two tracks and a control tower, which will create 450,000 jobs.
