Siemens Energy invests US$5.2 million in Queretaro

QUERETARO, QRO – Siemens Energy completed an expansion project in Queretaro, where it invested US$5.2 million. The company expects to generate around 200 direct jobs and 500 indirect jobs.

The investment was earmarked for technological expansion in the manufacturing processes of high-power circuit breakers.

Tim Holt, member of the board of directors of Siemens Energy, pointed out that the expansion of the company's plant located in El Marqués is crucial, since the technology developed in this unit will increase its annual capacity.

This production plant supplies the company's customers in Mexico, Central America, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The minister of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, pointed out that the company is already implementing a decarbonization strategy, which is based on five points: decarbonized industrial processes, energy storage, the use of Power-to-x technology, resilient networks and reliability, as well as condition-based service interventions.
