The first Sodecia plant in Mexico was inaugurated in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, at Santa Maria Industrial Park, to manufacture auto parts for Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. This plant represents an expenditure of US$17.5 million and the creation of 50 jobs, with expectations to increase this number in the short term.

Rui Monteiro, CEO of Sodecia, Bruce Hughes, CEO North America of the Firm and the Mayor of Ramos Arizpe, Ricardo Aguirre, presided over the inauguration. Mr. Hughes weighed in that the automotive market is currently expanding and this is the reason why Sodecia has operations here, but the Company's goal is to become a preferential supplier in the same amount as added value is provided to customers.
