Strongwell Corporation has arrived in Nuevo Leon to provide reels for the manufacture of plastic and glass fiber stairs by the Monterrey-based firm Cuprum. According to Eugenio Clariond Reyes-Retana, President of the Cuprum Group Council, this provider was supplying its products from the U.S., but it implied logistics costs of thousands of dollars. Now, by being closer to Cuprum's plant, there are going to be advantages for the U.S. and Canada consumers as well, as products' prices will become more competitive. Fernando Turner Devila, Secretary of Economy and Labor, informed that the Strongwell plant opening will generate up to 100 direct jobs during its initial stage, and 200 in the medium term.
