Supply chain: quality must be assured

The lack of quality certifications is still one of the main weaknesses that prevent Mexican providers from fully entering the supply chain. A report from the Catalog of Industrial Providers in Mexico (CAPIM), shows that buyers' expectations are not met because of three primary reasons: lack of quality assurance or certifications, lack of expertise in the industry and handling low production volumes. Companies' procedures are evaluated in a detailed manner when undergoing a certification process, which leads to increasing quality.
