Susana Zazueta is recognized as one of the top women in manufacturing in North America

WASHINGTON DC - Susana Zazueta, director of Whirlpool's Ramos Arizpe plant, received the Women MAKE America Awards in Washington DC as one of the 100 Women Leaders in Manufacturing from the Manufacturing Institute, thanks to her outstanding work and exceptional results in the industry.

Currently, as plant manager of the Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila plant, Susana leads more than 3,000 employees, and is in charge of the company's most important production project in the region, which consists of the expansion of the plant with an investment of more than US$160 million.

Beyond her professional performance, according to the Manufacturing Institute, Susana Zazueta represents Whirlpool's commitment to the communities through her support of social responsibility and environmental actions. In addition to being the director of this important plant, she is also a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and has motivated numerous women in their personal and professional growth.

“I am very honored by this recognition and it is an invitation to continue working to close the gender gap. Today's women bring strong skills to the industry and together we must forge the path for the girls of the future,” she added.

The Women MAKE Awards is an award that identifies the best talent in the industry, and encourages honorees to mentor and support the next generation of female talent to pursue careers in the manufacturing industry.
