The Lone Star State has been named Best State for Business for the 14th consecutive year by Chief Executive Group.

“It is no accident that the nation’s top CEOs continue to rank Texas as the best state for business,” said Governor Greg Abbott. “Innovation and ingenuity are thriving in the Lone Star State, and as a result, businesses are relocating and expanding their footprint in Texas, further strengthening our economy. I am proud that Texas has once again received this recognition and solidified its standing as the best state in the country in which to do business.”

This year’s rankings highlight Texas’ high-quality workforce and superior living environment. The report shows Texas’ leading industries as advanced manufacturing, aviation, biotech, chemicals products, and energy.

“The rankings also note Texas’ low tax and low regulation business-friendly environment that has led to the relocation or expansion of many major companies, such as Kubota, NTT DATA, Charles Schwab and Brakebush Brothers.

Governor Abbott said since he took office more than 600,000 new jobs have been created and Texas set a new record for the lowest unemployment rate in four decades.

“We decided to stay here in Texas and expand our operations because it was the best business solution for our company. We’re looking forward to seeing our presence grow and becoming even more engaged in the business community,” said Grady Walker, Chairman and CEO, Hudson Products in the report.
