Yair Israel Piña Lopez, a 20 year old student from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), who is the youngest Mexican to join the NASA scientific research team, was selected by The Mars Society to be part of the analog mission to Mars, along with the Colombian Camilo Reyes, which will take place in the Utah dessert, where similar conditions to those the future astronauts will face in Mars, will be replicated.
