Donald Trump warned Toyota that if it builds a plant in Baja California, a tariff will be imposed to the vehicles going out of this factory to cross the border. The automotive company responded saying that their Baja California facilities will support manufacturing operations in its plant in San Antonio, Texas, which supports 3,300 jobs and produced 230,000 SUVs in 2016. Besides, the Company underscored that the U.S. production or jobs will not decrease with the new Toyota plant, but on the contrary, in addition to new investments in U.S. territory, in Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana and West Virginia.
