Toyota is looking for engineers in Queretaro
QUERETARO — Managers of the Toyota company approached authorities from the Technological University of Corregidora (UTC), in order to meet the human resources’ needs for the plant that will start operations later this year in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato.
In the first instance, the company will require between 70 and 150 young professionals, according to the rector of the university, Arturo Vallejo Casanova. He stressed that the group that could be integrated into the plant is already being prepared; most of these professionals are engineers in mechatronics and technical careers.
It is important to mention that a month and a half ago, Vallejo Casanova met with executives of Toyota to raise awareness of the job opportunities of the different ranks. In order to offer human capital, he said, the university intends to sign a collaboration agreement that stipulates the guidelines of the work that each organization will carry out together.
“We are waiting to sign a collaboration agreement with Toyota in order to complete 4-month stays for students so they can be immediately hired by the company,” he said.
