U.S. sugar producers support agreement with Mexico

The sugar producing sector in the U.S. embraced the commercial agreement between the U.S. and Mexico. This agreement maintains the access of Mexican sugar into the U.S. market, however reducing the proportion of refined sugar from 40% to 30% and it stipulates that any additional demand for sugar from the U.S. will be offered to Mexican producers in the first instance and the U.S. will only look for other countries when Mexico is not able to fill the order in question.
