UPQ inaugurated automotive industry center

QUERETARO – The Universidad Politécnica de Querétaro (UPQ) inaugurated its new Center for Learning and Professionalization of Automotive Talent (CAPTA), which received an investment of US$1.6 million from the Fondo de Aportaciones Multiples.

It is worth mentioning that this training center will benefit 3,419 students from the Queretaro educational center.

The work was delivered by the governor of Queretaro, Francisco Dominguez Servien, who emphasized that the UPQ is the first automotive university in the country, an educational center that is a key part of the "Triple Helix" growth model.

Likewise, the state president emphasized that UPQ graduates are a well-qualified and updated human resource, which is an engine of solutions for the automotive industry, one of the economic pillars of the state.

"Querétaro is currently a hub of technology and ideas that is developing the most intelligent, safe, efficient and fun cars in history," said Dominguez.

The work was carried out by the Comision Estatal de Infraestructura (CEI) and the Instituto de Infraestructura Fisica Educativa del Estado de Queretaro (IFEQ).
