Uruguay, crucial for a good Mexico-Mercosur relation

The Minister of Foreign Relations, Luis Videgaray said that the economic relation with Uruguay has a special significance, as this is the only Country from Mercosur that Mexico has a free trade agreement with. “This agreement, signed in 2004, has enabled us to approach the region, increasing opportunities to access markets so that Mexican producers can sell their products in Uruguay and likewise, to bring high quality products from Uruguay into the Mexican market”, said the chancellor in a joint statement with his peer from Uruguay, Rodolfo Nin Novoa.
