US$500 million investment arrives in Chihuahua

CHIHUAHUA – Solar farms, a compressed natural gas plant and two fuel storage units (gasoline and diesel), which together will exceed a US$500 million  investment , are the new projects to be carried out by the State Government's Energy Directorate.

Luis Mesta Fitzmaurice, undersecretary of Innovation and Development, estimated that the projects could start at the beginning of the year 2020, which will position the state as a benchmark in the use of clean energy.

Solar farms are projected for the municipalities of Ahumada, Juárez and Guerrero, for which US$20 million will be invested.

In addition, two projects for the construction of two fuel storage and distribution units will be carried out in the municipality of Chihuahua with an investment of approximately US$90 million.
