US$80 million will be invested in Leon

LEON — With an investment of more than US$80 million dollars, the first construction stage of the Parque Sur Industrial began, which is scheduled to start operations by march.

Juan Arturo Torres Landa, vice president of the industrial park, stressed that the American Industries company bought 20 hectares and warehouses will be developed. He pointed out as well that 4,000 direct jobs will be generated.

The Leon Industrial Park will generate more a total of than 5,000 jobs, it will house companies in the automotive and logistics sector, and will occupy an area of 292 hectares, made up of 136 modular lots.
