Volaris disclosed its commitment to buy 80 aircraft of the A320NEO family, which will be delivered between the years 2022 to 2026, as part of the largest announcement made yet by Airbus. This after Airbus signed a memorandum of understanding with Indigo Partners, establishing a commitment for its member air carriers to buy 430 airplanes of the A320NEO Family, with Volaris buying 80 of these airplanes through a sales contract with Airbus. This undertaking to buy 46 A320neo airplanes and 34 A321neo airplanes, is valued at $US9.3 million, at a regular list prices. John Leahy, Executive Director of Clients Operations for Airbus Commercial Airplanes, added that Indigo Partners has been a wonderful client, endorsing the Airbus single aisle airplane fleet for many years.
