Volaris will sell US$1 flights to migrants

MEXICO – This Thursday the Volaris airline announced that as part of its Reuniendo Familias program it will offer all its flights at a cost of US$1 (plus tax) for migrants who are in Mexico irregularly and want to return to their country of origin.

Through a statement Volaris explained that this program is valid from today until June 30.

The airports where this offer will be valid are Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, Guadalajara, Mexico City and those willing to board the next available seat in Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala.

In addition, Volaris indicated that in the case of older adults, they will only have to present their Unique Identity Document (DUI) and underage migrants must present their birth certificate or passport.
