Walmart commenced the first construction stage of its new distribution center, whose investment will amount to US$50 million. As a result, said center will be able to provide for stores in the region, such as 95 Supercenter, Bodega Aurrera, Sam's and Superama.

The vice president of Logistics and Distribution of the chain in Mexico and Central America, Sandro Norberto Do Nascimento, stressed that said logistics center, which will be located in the municipality of Kanasin, is scheduled for development throughout three phases.

The first phase will be used to store dry products; the second will add a refrigerated line and the third will include a route for Mexico, the United States and Costa Rica.

The project plans to efficiently fulfill the supply demand of the stores that the international chain operates in Central American countries.
