Well-Being Hub Targets Aerospace Companies.

In order to facilitate its integration into the Zapotlán Development Hub, policies aimed at future benefits and the promotion of closer ties with the country’s central region—such as the Felipe Ángeles International Airport—have been developed in collaboration with companies in the aerospace sector.

Disraelí Gomez Herrera, director of FAMEX, explained that building closer ties with the industry would facilitate direct contact with companies, as the sector is expected to establish a presence in the state. He noted that the aerospace industry is currently developing in 21 states across the country, with Baja California and Chihuahua leading the list.

The executive also emphasized that the goal is to position Hidalgo in this industry, given the high demand in the sector and its current growth forecast.

Even though Querétaro is one of the nearby states, the official emphasized that invitations to the new Zapotlán Development Hub have been extended to companies that manufacture drones or advanced technology such as robots.

“The information has already been provided to the state of Hidalgo, and discussions can be held to evaluate the possibility of setting up operations there,” he said.

Mexico’s aerospace industry is currently active in 21 states, with various types of companies responsible for producing everything from components to a high percentage of aircraft and helicopters. With Baja California and Chihuahua leading the list, it is expected that Hidalgo will be able to develop into an industrial hub due to its location.

For a company to set up operations, factors such as location and the availability of trained personnel must be considered; however, the Well-Being Hubs would provide benefits to those who choose to set up operations there.

The Zapoplan Development Hub would be integrated into the federal project comprising 15 Welfare Hubs, which aims to stimulate the regional economy, given its location and proximity to AIFA.
