The cancellation of the investment in San Luis Potosi earlier this year and the production line relocation to China, has given uncertainty to the production plans of the Company in Mexico. Nevertheless, the company assures that it will firmly uphold its production plans in the country, as the four locations in Mexico are still working and producing vehicles and components. Sonora will continue the production of the Ford Fusion, the Lincoln MKZ and their models in hybrid versions; the State of Mexico will continue producing the Fiesta model. Additionally, the transmission plant in Irapuato is under expansion, and there are also plans to produce new engines at the plant in Chihuahua.
