Works to be coordinated for the promotion of a free border zone
General administrator of Aduanas, Ricardo Peralta Saucedo, business organizations as well as the person in charge of Programas de Estímulo para la Frontera Norte , Pedro Romero Torres held a meeting to present priority logistics projects for the Cali-Baja region.
At the meeting, held in the facilities of new Parque de Carga Aérea y Logística (Matrix), the most significant projects for the development of the region were analyzed: Garita de Otay Mesa East (Otay II), Parque de Carga Aérea y Logística de Tijuana,Tren Ligero de Tijuana project and Plan Estratégico Metropolitano 2034.
For his part, Aram Hodoyán Navarro, president of Consejo de Desarrollo de Tijuana and who was appointed as representative of the private initiative in these tables, referred to the participation of the Government of Mexico through Comisión de Estímulos para la Frontera Norte, Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT), Baja California’s government, Asociación de Gobiernos de San diego (SANDAG); as well as business organizations sucha es Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE), Asociación de Agentes Aduanales de Tijuana y Tecate (AAATT) y logistics companies such as Baja California Rail Road and Carga Aérea Matrix.
Likewise, Eva María Viridiana Soria Amador, administrator of Customs of Tijuana, was appointed as technical secretary of the working group which will give timely follow-up to the agreements taken.
