Young man from Aguascalientes, nominee for the 2017 National Youth Award

Fernando Mier Hicks, from Aguascalientes, was nominated to receive the National Youth Award in Science and Technology. Mier Hicks is a Mechatronics Engineer graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, Master and Doctor of Aerospace Engineering by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is currently working as a robotics engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the U.S. He is now developing electronic systems which will be used to test NASA's new robotic rover, which will be launched to Mars in 2020.
