Honeywell Aerospace inaugurated its new testing facilities in Mexicali, Baja California, which include a wind tunnel to support the 777X platform by Boeing, enabling the development of the engineering capacities in Honeywell Mexicali over the next two years.
The lab uses a turbine capable of producing speeds up to 230 miles per hour, which is one of a kind in Latin America and the only one in Mexico dedicated to the aerospace industry. The company invested US$ 15 million in the new premises.
Honeywell Aerospace Mexicali has 2,000 employees within its campus, with an expected growth of 2,200 in 2018.Â
