General Motors will introduce the electric car Bolt EV in the Mexican market on second half of 2017, the company announced in a press conference.

It will be GM’s third fully-electric model to enter since the Spark EV and Volt are already sold in the country.

The Bolt EV will feature 383 kilometers (238 miles) autonomy, long enough to drive from Mexico City to Acapulco, said the company.

Barely 230 electric vehicles were sold in Mexico during 2016, most of them in Mexico City, Jalisco and Nuevo Leon states, according to the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA).

Other models available at the Mexican market are Nissan Leaf, Renault Twizy, BMW i3 and the entire Tesla line-up.
