New Hampshire-based filter manufacturer Micronics Inc. will team up with Manufacturas Zapaliname (Zapa) to increase its activity in Mexico, with an initial investment of US$4 million and the creation of roughly 70 jobs by the end of 2017.Â
The operation will start in a 35,000 square feet facility, and the firm might use a second building of similar dimensions in the mid-term, according to local media.
Micronics Inc. produces industrial, residential and commercial filters used to eliminate dust and other substances.
Zapa has already started the recruitment and training processes, and the plant's equipment will be arriving between March and April, expecting to start operations during the summer.
