New Chinese investment lands in Aguascalientes
AGUASCALIENTES - The Chinese company UTAS-NOVA Automotive Lighting Systems México will install a plant in Aguascalientes with an investment of more than US$36.3 million.
With the arrival of this factory in the state, which will be dedicated to the manufacture of automotive lighting systems, 220 jobs will be created.
Construction will begin in September 2024 and will be located south of the capital city, specifically in the Vesta Industrial Park.
It is important to mention that this factory in Aguascalientes will be the company's first investment in Mexico,
According to Rick Knill, Director of Operations of UTAS-NOVA Automotive Lighting Systems Mexico in North America, mentioned that the new facilities in Aguascalientes will be state-of-the-art.
In other words, it will be responsible for creating and maintaining a digital factory, designed based on Industry 4.0 parameters.
In turn, this new plant will manufacture and distribute worldwide automotive exterior lighting assemblies.
Specifically, headlights, turn signals, fog lights, side lights, CHMSLs, integrated cameras and license plate lights, among other products.
It is important to mention that UTAS-NOVA Automotive Lighting Systems Mexico has more than 150,000 square meters of manufacturing in China.
The company has a presence in both China and the United States.
