Erika de Reynosa expands in Tamaulipas

REYNOSA, TAMPS- Erika de Reynosa, the largest plant in the world of the German company Fresenius Medical Care, announced an investment of US$10 million in a new subsidiary in Tamaulipas, which is expected to generate 600 direct and indirect jobs.

In his speech, the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal, highlighted the company's commitment, assuring that its expansion consolidates its presence, generating opportunities for the people of Reynosa with quality jobs.

The expansion project was presented by Jesus Gonzalez, Vice President of Manufacturing at Erika de Reynosa.

Currently, the company generates 4,500 jobs, is dedicated to the development of technology for the treatment of patients with chronic renal insufficiency and produces equipment for dialysis, peritoneal area and hemodialysis area.

The Secretary of Economy of Tamaulipas, Ninfa Cantú Deándar said that this new investment is a clear reflection of the confidence that global companies have in the state, and of the opportunities provided by the business-friendly environment that has been built together with the industry.

Cantú pointed out that according to INEGI figures, Tamaulipas is ranked as the third entity with the highest growth in industrial activity, while the IMSS places the state among the top five with the best salaries for manufacturing sector personnel.

The announcement of Erika de Reynosa's investment was attended by the national presidents of INDEX, Humberto Martínez, and of INDEX Reynosa, Raúl Setién, as well as company executives in Reynosa.
