Opens Pro Coahuila’s new office in Austin to promote investment in Mexico

AUSTIN, TX - During his work tour in the state of Texas, the governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas inaugurated the Pro Coahuila Office in the city of Austin.

“We continue to capitalize to the maximum on nearshoring. From Austin we inaugurated the Pro Coahuila economic operation office, with which we will strengthen the management and promotion in Texas and the United States to attract more investments and tourists to Coahuila,” the governor emphasized.

With this office, represented by Gloria Gutiérrez, a constant prospecting and follow-up of high impact projects for the state is projected, as well as a continuous management for the attraction of new investments, in addition to the support and follow-up of those already operating in the state.

In addition, the Pro Coahuila Office in Texas is expected to be an area that seeks to strengthen the economic and bilateral relationship between Coahuila and the United States, since it will also operate as a liaison for the management and strategy of economic and tourism promotion in the United States.

During the inauguration, a meeting was held with the participation of the president of the Texas Business Association Glenn Hamer, and the vice president of International Relations, David Zapata; as well as Blas Flores, head of Cabinet and Strategic Projects; Luis Olivares, Secretary of Economy of Coahuila; Sofia Delgadillo, director of Pro Coahuila; and Gloria Gutierrez, representative of Pro Coahuila in Austin.

As part of the activities of the economic promotion tour in the state of Texas, they also visited the city of San Antonio, where they held meetings with sports executives of the Spurs basketball team and businessmen of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to whom they presented the economic characteristics that Coahuila has for attracting investment, highlighting the geographic position, skilled labor, rule of law and security.

The Coahuila delegation was received by Steve Alaniz and Luis Rodriguez of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
