Juarez presents projects to promote economic development in the border region

JUAREZ, CHIH - In order to present strategies that will guide the economic growth of Chihuahua, particularly in the border area, the head of the Department of Innovation and Economic Development, Ulises Fernández Gamboa, met with the team of Economic Development of Ciudad Juárez A.C. (DECJ).

The state official presented a report based on three blocks: the state's economic context, current strategic sectors and future outlook, and enabling projects for competitiveness, highlighting the state's strengths and areas of opportunity to continue promoting economic development.

Fernández Gamboa spoke of Chihuahua's competitive advantages, which place it at the top of the national ranking in several important sectors.

He presented a detailed analysis of investments and predominant industries, including the automotive, electric-electronic, medical devices and aerospace sectors, with a vision of the future focused on innovation and adaptation to global trends.

The session also addressed key projects to improve the state's competitiveness, including energy initiatives to maintain and strengthen the attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), responding to the needs of both the energy sector and the population of Chihuahua.

On the other hand, infrastructure and training were discussed, particularly critical aspects such as the improvement of water infrastructure and connectivity, as well as the need to optimize the training of local talent to meet the demands of the labor market. The importance of strengthening regional development to ensure balanced growth in all areas of the state was also highlighted.
