Chihuahua strengthens ties with Safran Aerosystems
CHIHUAHUA - With an investment of 6 million euros, the French capital company Safran Aerosystems will open a new plant in the city of Chihuahua, which is expected to create 300 high-value jobs.
Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos met at the Government Palace with authorities from Safran Aerosystems Division, following the announcement last June of the opening of a new plant in the state capital.
During the meeting, Campos Galvan highlighted the work carried out by the company in the state, which will invest a total of 6 million euros for its new facilities and with the new headquarters scheduled to start operations in 2025, will total 12 plants in Chihuahua.
Campos endorsed his backing and support for the future projects of the company, which currently employs 8,000 employees locally, representing more than half of the Safran group's employees in the country.
In dialogue with Sébastien Weber and Jorge Acosta, president and CEO of Safran Aerosystems, respectively, he detailed the actions of the Government of Chihuahua in terms of talent development for the aerospace sector, and ratified his commitment to continue working to attract investments that translate into better opportunities for the people of Chihuahua.
