STEM skills to be promoted in Chihuahua students

CHIHUAHUA - In order to promote the development of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills among 15,000 students in Chihuahua, the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado (COBACH) and the Instituto de Apoyo al Desarrollo Tecnológico (INADET) signed a collaboration and cooperation agreement.

The agreement will promote the training of 1,200 teachers and administrative personnel from 10 schools located in the cities of Chihuahua, Delicias and Cuauhtémoc, which will result in better education for students.

As a result of this work, a COBACH-CENALTEC English Diploma is expected to be created, along with robotics courses for students, which will be taught at the facilities of the High Technology Training Center (CENALTEC), in addition to hygiene and safety workshops.

The signing of the agreement was in charge of the general director of COBACH, Reyes Humberto de las Casas Muñoz, and the general director of INADET, Sergio Mancinas Peña, who had as a witness of honor the undersecretary of Higher and Higher Secondary Education, Guillermo Márquez Lizalde.

“Training in STEM skills is fundamental to prepare students for an increasingly technological world. At COBACH, the training of teachers is fundamental, as they are key to transmitting this knowledge to students,” said De las Casas Muñoz.

Mancinas Peña emphasized that with this agreement they reaffirm their commitment to prepare students for a competitive and constantly evolving world, through technological innovation.
