Grupo GA announces construction of Chiapas Industrial Park

CHIAPAS - Grupo Industrial GA announced the construction of the Chiapas Industrial Park (PICHI), a project that will have an initial investment of US$19.5 million and a projection of up to US$48.9 million.

It is a 20 hectare complex, with more than 60 thousand m2 for industrial buildings.

According to official information, it will be located in Rancho Zamora, kilometer 132.2 of highway 190 Mexico-Tuxtla Gutierrez.

“This will facilitate the connection with the coastal, highlands and central areas of the state, as well as with the Angel Albino Corzo International Airport,” said the general director of Grupo GA, Alberto Gordillo Aguilar.

He also stated that the plan contemplates 18 ships distributed in three stages: eight platforms in the first stage, six in the second and four in the last.

During the presentation ceremony, company executives shared that the project seeks to boost economic development.

“It will be able to generate up to 1,100 jobs (720 will be direct and 350 indirect), benefiting skilled labor.”

They also seek to integrate the complex to the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT), attracting national and foreign investment.

“The Chiapas Industrial Park will be a key distribution center for the state's economic development and an example of how the private sector can promote local infrastructure,” said Gordillo Aguilar.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the civil works will be executed entirely by Grupo GA, a company from Chiapas with more than 40 years of experience.
