Chihuahua will bet on the aerospace industry by 2025
CHIHUAHUA - The Director of Economic Development and Competitiveness, José Jesús Jordan, announced that by 2025, Chihuahua expects to attract US$48.8 million in industrial investments, especially in the aerospace, automotive and manufacturing sectors.
Jordan explained that these investments will be the result of various initiatives and negotiations with national and international companies that have shown interest in establishing themselves in the city.
He emphasized that the projects are more focused on the aerospace sector, in which he has identified at least five new companies, between expansions and new facilities, projecting the creation of specialized jobs.
Among the benefits of these investments, the official highlighted the generation of direct and indirect jobs, as well as the strengthening of infrastructure and the promotion of training for the local population, to meet the needs of skilled labor in the new industrial sectors.
Jordán emphasized that the investments are also aligned with the objective of reducing mobility in the city. Therefore, authorities seek to develop industrial projects in the south of Chihuahua, in order to balance economic growth and the distribution of jobs in different areas of the city, avoiding congestion and improving the quality of life of citizens.
