State government and ITSM to work on collaborative projects

State Governor Maru Campos and the rector of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Juan Pablo Murra Lascuráin, discussed collaboration projects in the areas of semiconductors, aerospace, water, health and public policy.

They explored viable plans and strategies to maintain joint efforts, focused on continuing education and the strengthening of the scientific-technological infrastructure at the ITESM Campus Chihuahua.

The governor highlighted the research project on breast cancer, which is being carried out through an agreement between the Ministry of Health and the educational institution, which seeks to generate a database to identify patterns of incidence, improve treatment schemes and achieve early detection.

He also emphasized that they are working on joint strategies for the campus to strengthen its laboratories in the areas of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, electromobility, among others, and for its STEM careers in Chihuahua to focus on these areas of interest.

In addition to the collaboration that the institution has with the Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Chihuahua Pride program, which consists of granting scholarships to Chihuahua talent to study at the campus, a plan aligned with the Leaders of Excellence program of ITESM itself.

The President thanked the educational directors for collaborating with the State in the different projects of impact for the population, and assured that her administration will continue to collaborate with the different sectors to promote competitiveness.

This meeting highlights the strategic collaboration between the government, the business sector, academia and society, under the quadruple helix model, to show Chihuahua as a competitive and innovative state.
