Flex Expands Operations in Aguascalientes

The manufacturing company Flex inaugurated the latest expansion of its manufacturing center in Aguascalientes, consolidating more than four decades of presence in the state.
Without specifying investment amounts or jobs created, executives indicated that the new plant integrates metal processes, plastic injection, tab production, certified laboratories, and electromechanical assemblies to offer world-class speed, precision, and quality.
“Today, we are not only inaugurating a new building, we are taking a historic step in a trajectory of constant growth and trust in our customers,” said Víctor Brizuela, vice president of operations at Flex Aguascalientes, in his speech.
The executive noted that this new chapter consolidates the operation as a “robotics center, the result of a solid ecosystem, specialized talent, quality educational institutions, a robust supply network, and a shared vision between business and government.”

Just a few days ago, state authorities and executives from Sumitomo Wiring Systems inaugurated the third plant of the subsidiary Sistemas de Arneses K&S Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. in San Francisco de los Romo, Aguascalientes.
The facility required an investment of US$31 million and involved the recruitment of 200 employees to begin operations focused on the production of aluminum cable.
