Students from Queretaro take part at NASA’s educational program

Queretaro reaffirmed its commitment to training talent in strategic sectors by announcing the selection of eight students who will participate in an educational program at NASA as part of the Space Academies initiative.

The selected students come from institutions such as CECyTEQ, COBAQ, the Autonomous University of Queretaro (UAQ), CBTis 118, and CONALEP; they were chosen following the presentation of their technology projects, developed during intensive technology and space exploration camps.

More than a thousand students from different cities across the country participated, of whom 240 were selected for the camps and 32 secured a place in the international program.

Governor Mauricio Kuri Gonzalez also highlighted the collaboration with the US as a key factor in promoting educational and technological initiatives in the state; he thanked the US Embassy in Mexico for its support and reiterated the importance of the bilateral relationship, describing it as a strategic alliance that transcends mere neighborly ties to establish itself as a partnership across various fields.

For his part, US Ambassador Ronald D. Johnson expressed his enthusiasm for strengthening cooperation ties in sectors such as aerospace and emphasized that regions like Queretaro are positioning themselves as key hubs for this industry.
