Export numbers rise in Yucatan

Yucatan recorded exports totaling US$2.561 billion in 2025—the highest level ever recorded for the state—representing a 21.1% increase compared to 2024, according to data from INEGI.
According to an official statement, the state of Yucatan recorded this annual growth driven by the strengthening of its manufacturing industry—primarily maquila—and its integration into global markets.
According to INEGI, Yucatan continues to establish itself as one of the country’s economic engines by achieving these export results in 2025, thanks to greater ties with international markets. The organization also noted that in the first quarter of 2025 alone, remittance income totaled US$107.8 million.
In turn, the state’s Ministry of Economy and Labor confirmed that these results reflect a focused economic policy and coordinated efforts promoted by the state government.
The agency noted that Yucatan is strengthening its industry, attracting investment, and generating formal jobs, which allows the state to compete in international markets with quality, talent, and an increasingly robust economy.
