Innovation & sustainability in the Mexican countryside

As part of World Earth Day, John Deere’s commitment to the earth is the driving force behind the creation of tools capable of producing more with less environmental impact, ensuring that every furrow tilled in Mexico is an investment in the future of coming generations.
The care of natural resources begins at the ETEC Engineering Centers; in this space, local engineers develop technological solutions—ranging from software to sensors, actuators, and mechanisms—to create smart systems that are now operating in fields around the world.
To fulfill this commitment, John Deere has allocated US$2.3 billion globally over the past year to the research and development of cutting-edge solutions. This investment translates into machinery that drastically reduces fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through autonomous guidance systems that eliminate unnecessary overlap in the field.
In addition to field technology, the company promotes the circular economy through its remanufacturing program, which recovers key components to give them a second life with the quality standards of new equipment, reducing raw material consumption and industrial waste in its global processes.
