SEIREN VISCOTEC invests US$46 million in Guanajuato

The Japanese company SEIREN VISCOTEC opened a new plant in the Marabis Park in Abasolo, Guanajuato, as part of its growth strategy in Mexico, with an investment of over US$46 million and the creation of 200 new jobs.
The new facility bolsters the company’s production capacity in the Bajio region, particularly in sectors such as the automotive and technical textiles industries; the location in Guanajuato was chosen for strategic reasons, including logistics connectivity, access to specialized talent, and integration into global value chains.
The commercial relationship between Mexico and Japan is also strengthened by this type of investment, which not only drives regional economic development but also promotes technology transfer and the development of local capabilities.
SEIREN VISCOTEC is part of a Japanese group with experience in the production of advanced textile materials and industrial components, with applications across various industries, including the automotive sector.
The creation of 200 direct jobs associated with this new plant contributes to strengthening the labor market in Guanajuato, particularly for technical and specialized roles. This type of investment also generates a multiplier effect on local suppliers and services linked to industrial activity.
In Mexico, the company has consolidated its operations over more than a decade, with a focus on value-added industrial processes and the development of local capabilities aligned with global standards.
