Aguascalientes & Canada boost trade connections

During Canada Day celebrations, Aguascalientes positioned itself as an attractive destination for foreign investment, thanks to its role in hosting the event.

The delegation held meetings with Canada’s ambassador to Mexico, Cameron MacKay, and Canada’s consul in Guadalajara, Sebastien Moffett; one of the state’s main objectives was to strengthen institutional relationships that would foster new investment, innovation, and productive development projects.

Canada is a strategic ally for Aguascalientes and one of its main trading partners; therefore, these types of meetings help expand economic cooperation and create new opportunities for the state’s productive sector.

For its part, the state government remains committed to promoting initiatives that strengthen competitiveness, foster innovation, and create a favorable environment for attracting new investments that benefit the local economy and the families of Aguascalientes.

Through this initiative, the state government seeks to expand opportunities for collaboration with Canadian companies and institutions, strengthen investor confidence, and maintain Aguascalientes as one of the most competitive destinations for the development of new productive projects in Mexico.
