Schneider Electric to Expand Operations in Querétaro
Schneider Electric is an electrical technology manufacturer that is expanding its presence in the state of Querétaro through its two new facilities, which are already operational, as well as a third facility currently under development for an upcoming phase of growth.
At its two plants, the French-based company will produce solutions for electrical distribution, equipment for energy and critical infrastructure, and specialized projects under the Engineer-to-Order (ETO) model, designed to meet customer needs.
These facilities add to nearly 115,000 m² of industrial infrastructure, according to a statement released by the Querétaro state government following a meeting between public officials and company executives.
With this expansion plan, the company is strengthening its presence in Mexico and its capacity to meet the growing demand for energy solutions in the region.
Luis D'Acosta Anezin, President of Schneider Electric for Mexico and Central America, emphasized that after 80 years of operations in the country, the company's industrial operations continue to grow, as it currently operates 12 plants in Mexico that are expanding their capacity to meet the needs of industry, data centers, and the digital economy across the continent.
The new facilities will see their capacity expanded to manufacture advanced solutions and provide more localized service to their customers, according to Guillaume Le Gouic, senior vice president of Power Systems & ETO, who highlighted the state’s strategic location, specialized talent, and industrial quality.
In Mexico, Schneider Electric operates plants in states such as Querétaro, Nuevo León, and Tlaxcala, where it manufactures solutions for electrical distribution, control centers, industrial automation, and smart equipment, and employs approximately 12,000 workers nationwide.
The company's product portfolio consists of smart devices, software-defined architectures, AI-powered systems, digital services, and expert consulting.
