Yucatan has a portfolio of more than 80 projects totaling US$7.6 billion in letters of intent, managed by the Secretariat of Economy and Labor (SETY), and has attracted more than US$260 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), according to Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena.

The governor has emphasized that strategic projects, promoted in coordination with the federal government and through ongoing dialogue with the private sector, have helped create the conditions of trust, infrastructure, connectivity, energy, and talent development that are essential for attracting productive projects.

Among the initiatives, he discussed the expansion and modernization of the Progreso Deep-Water Port, the Maya Freight Train, the expansion of the gas pipeline, Energia Mayakan, the Industrial Hubs for Well-being, and the new universities.

Díaz stated that the state’s strategy is to connect local companies with new capital, so they can join broader supply chains and take advantage of the opportunities created.
