City Storage Invests US$26 Million in EDOMEX

The Mayor of Naucalpan, Isaac Montoya Marquez; the Secretary of Economic Development for the State of Mexico, Laura Gonzalez Hernandez; and executives from City Storage Mexico officially opened the company’s first location in the State of Mexico and in the country, located in Lomas Verdes, with an investment of US$26 million.

During the opening ceremony, executives from the self-storage company announced that City Storage plans to develop four projects in the State of Mexico over the next three years, with an investment of approximately US$87 million, representing a significant boost for the state as a strategic destination for private investment.

Mayor Isaac Montoya Marquez emphasized that City Storage’s arrival reaffirms the confidence that major companies have in Naucalpan, given that its strategic location offers competitive advantages such as proximity to Mexico City, Toluca, and the country’s central region, in addition to its robust infrastructure and connectivity.

Meanwhile, Laura Gonzalez Hernandez, Secretary of Economic Development for the Government of the State of Mexico, has welcomed City Storage, noting that its arrival will boost economic activity in Naucalpan and throughout the state, particularly in a region that is home to one of the country’s most important consumer markets.

It was clarified that the self-storage model meets the new needs of families, entrepreneurs, and businesses that require flexible and secure spaces to store inventory, merchandise, tools, documents, furniture, and equipment—particularly in a metropolitan area characterized by a high concentration of residences and businesses.

Finally, Alejandro Sánchez Asensio, CEO of City Storage Mexico, accompanied by Brennan Helmmers, the company’s Strategic Operations Manager, announced that the Lomas Verdes branch represents an investment of US$26 million and covers 15,500 square meters, making it the largest mini-storage facility in the country.
