Investment Drives Industrial Growth in Aguascalientes
Aguascalientes expects to sustain its economic momentum through the end of 2026, supported by new investment, industrial diversification, and anticipated job creation. The state’s Secretariat of Economic Development, Science, and Technology (Sedecyt) reports that projects and company expansions have continued to be announced throughout the year.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) has also contributed to this outlook. According to Ministry of Economy data cited by Sedecyt, Aguascalientes ranks among the 15 Mexican states with the highest growth in FDI inflows.
The state is also seeking to diversify its industrial base by attracting investment in sectors such as semiconductors, electric mobility, information technology, agricultural products, and textiles. The strategy aims to broaden local production capabilities and create opportunities across different industries.
According to Sedecyt, greater participation by local companies and the development of new markets will help sustain economic activity and employment in the coming months.
