SINO Manufacturing Opens a Plant in Querétaro
The British company SINO Manufacturing has opened a plant specializing in the manufacture and maintenance of industrial molds and plastic injection molding in El Marqués, Querétaro, representing an investment of nearly US$8.3 million and an initial projection of 50 direct skilled jobs.
The new facilities are located in the El Colorado Micro Industrial Park and have a reported operating area of 750 m², which will be used to strengthen engineering, manufacturing, and technical support services for industrial companies based in Mexico.
The company's arrival in Querétaro is expected to bring specialized tooling services to regional supply chains, primarily for activities that require precision, maintenance, and optimization of production processes.
The plant incorporates technology for preventive and corrective mold maintenance, CNC machining, electrical discharge machining, dimensional inspection, and the manufacture of plastic components.
Among its capabilities, the company stands out for its ability to handle molds weighing up to 10 metric tons, as well as two plastic injection molding machines rated at 90 and 150 metric tons, respectively. The company also plans to add a third machine rated at 300 metric tons to expand its operations.
Currently, the company manufactures components for liquid and gas measurement equipment, as well as processes that integrate plastic, metal, and electronic parts.
Executives from SINO Manufacturing attended the inauguration, including Rob Harris, founder and executive chairman and Li Xie, CEO and co-founder, as well as representatives from the industrial sector and state officials.
The facility represents an expansion of the range of specialized services for the manufacturing sector in Querétaro, where the availability of tooling, engineering, and maintenance is a key factor in companies’ operations.
With this opening, SINO Manufacturing strengthens its presence in North America and hopes to consolidate its role in industrial supply chains through local production and technical support capabilities.
