Continental Tire Appoints New Mexico Director
Continental Tire Mexico has appointed Paul Salazar as its new Managing Director in Mexico, effective November 2026. Salazar brings more than 17 years of experience within the Continental Group and an international career spanning Latin America, Asia, and the United States.
Since 2020, Salazar has led the Finance and Supply Chain Management Department at Hoosier Racing Tires, a Continental Group brand specializing in high-performance tires for global motorsports and headquartered in Indiana, United States.
Throughout his career with the company, Salazar has also participated in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), market strategy development, and various strategic projects across the group. His academic background includes a degree in Engineering Technology and an MBA specializing in Marketing, complemented by professional experience in finance.
With this appointment, Continental Tire Mexico will continue implementing its strategy in the country, where it maintains a nationwide presence through a distributor network and a portfolio of tires for passenger cars, motorcycles, SUVs, pickup trucks, commercial vehicles, and electric vehicles. The company also operates in the forklift and industrial tire segments.
In his new role, Salazar highlighted his priority of strengthening Continental's presence in Mexico while building on the work carried out by the local team.
