As of January 1, Andreas Lehe assumed the presidency of Audi Mexico, a position that he will keep temporarily at the same time with his other responsibility as Vice President of Production and Logistics. Lehe replaces Alfons Dintner, who will assume new roles within the German automotive group.
Andreas Lehe started his training as a galvanizer, later he attended college to major in materials technology. He has been working for Audi for 23 years and has extensive experience within the company, where one of his first important positions was to lead the painting area at the Ingolstadt plant.
The executive was also actively involved in the start of production of the Audi Q5 in Puebla.
“Andreas Lehe, as current Vice President of Production and Logistics, has extensive knowledge of the processes at Audi Mexico; as executive president, we are convinced that, with his technical experience and leadership qualities, Lehe will continue with the success of Audi Mexico,” Audi AG Production and Logistics Executive Advisor Peter Kössler said in a statement.
Kössler thanked Alfons Dintner for his commitment and success at Audi Mexico, playing a key role since the start of the Audi Mexico plant in Puebla.
“With his long career in production and his experience in Mexico, he contributed to the successful start-up of the plant and the start of production of the Audi Q5 in San José Chiapa.”
