Baja California registers a deficit of 2,000 vacancies in the aerospace industry

BAJA CALIFORNIA - In the aerospace industry there is a deficit of 2,000 vacancies in Baja California, said Tomas Sibaja, president of the state's Aerospace Cluster.

"Very specialized people are required to have control of those positions that are required in the industry," he specified.

He pointed out that the specialized profiles they are looking for are related to aeronautics, aerospace and mechatronics.

"In this semester at the Autonomous University of Baja California approximately 30 young people are graduating in our specialty, those young people are immediately absorbed by the industry, with this deficit we have," said the Cluster president.

Given the personnel deficit in the state, the industry has sought young people from states such as Chihuahua, Queretaro, Nuevo Leon and the Bajio.

The Cluster has approached the universities to tell them about the industry's demand, the profile of graduates requested and the profile of the teachers who teach the classes.

"Our approach is dual, in order to let the universities know from the administrative side, which is where the funds are allocated, so that not only the students are trained, but also the teachers," said Tomas Sibaja.
