Clusters in Puebla Have No Projects Planned for 2026
The Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (Sedetra) in the state of Puebla has not received any project proposals for 2026 from the 23 established clusters, according to Secretary Victor Gabriel Chedraui.
The headline attributed the lack of projects to the fact that some clusters are still in the process of development, which prevents representatives from meeting to identify needs and find solutions with the support of universities and the government.
Similarly, I would like to clarify that 21 of the 23 clusters are still being monitored individually, in order to develop assessments that will lead to feasible proposals.
It was also mentioned that SEDESTRA is currently forming a council to coordinate clustering efforts in order to achieve short- and medium-term results.
I reiterate that business leaders are willing to collaborate under this model; however, we need to join forces and channel those efforts, despite the lack of projects this year.
Victor Gabriel confirms that next year will bring tangible results, primarily from industrial sectors such as the automotive and textile industries, which are the driving forces behind Puebla’s economy.
